The Swiss football team FC Basel's crowd animator gives his all for the team: he decides
what music to play at matches and choreographs the fans to peak performance. It's all
about the energy and emotion he transmits to the fans and how he directs them. Or is
it rather the game itself that the fans follow?

A Map With Gaps is a surreal and comic account of a journey made by the director's
father through Soviet Russia in the early '70s, in a van he built and named Supervan.
The film utilizes a combination of archive audio recordings and still photographs, drama
reconstruction and animation.

film based on documentary interviews. As we hear the people tell their stories in their
own words, these are visualized in a range of different animation styles. These are
stories that range from comedy to tragedy, stories from last year or from the 1920's,
stories that are remembered with nostalgia, embarrassment or even horror. All these
stories have one thing in common: it is never like the first time!
